they are brackish to saltwater.

they need full saltwater. can't live in fresh for long.
I used to have a 30'' until the heater malfunctioned..

I had one for 5 years, and it lived in highly brackish water. Was not a difficult fish, other than weaning it off live food, which eventually happend after about 3 months. It ate frozen shrimp, frozen silversides, and krill
