FW stone fish

Is there any fresh water stone fish ??? I just bought one. Well I was told it was a 'talking stone catfish' but its not. Its highly camouflaged body is covered with snipes and it looks a lot like the marine scorpion and/or stone fish. Is there any FW stone fish ? I'll post pics later for ID.

I have 2. One is a small Orange one and the other is about 8" and will eat from my fingers with only occasional nipping

I have both of mine in full marine water and they seem to be thriving. They will eat anything they can suck into their mouths. There are a few discussions in the Brackish section.

NVM.. i googled it. It is venomous. You can try sucking on a spine and see what kind of buzz you get.

yes,full FW.
but most common would be the brackish one.

agreed , apart from the amazon toadfish ,all other in the trade req brackish or full marine ,they do not do very well in full freshwater 9 times out of ten they suffer and die from cotton fungas
