How much does a fx-5 cost to run 24/7?

My electricity rate is approximately 9 cents per kWh. It costs me approximately 40 dollars a year to run my fx5. Do you know how much your electricity rate is?

The formula to determine your monthly cost is: Watts of device/1000 X hours the device is running x days in month x your KWHr cost.

So if you use Aaron's rate of $0.09KWHr, your monthly cost would be 50/1000 x 24 x 30 x .09 = $3.24 per month or $38.88 annually.

To simplify it, when you find out your rate, just multiply .05 x 24 x 30 x your rate and that will give you your monthly cost.

Or you could just use this handy calculator: http://www.hamzasreef.com/Contents/Calculators/ElectricalConsumption.php

dragon, AEP charges me 7.03 cents per kWH.

Thank's guys that helps alot. I'll find out what I'm getting charged for kwh, and see what is making the electric bill so high. The fx-5's seem to be much less than I thought they would be. I might have to invest in one of those devices that you can plug in each device, and it will give you a read-out.
Our washer was out for a little over a months period of time before I got a new one. We went to the laundry mat on the weekends. Our electric bill dropped around $150 off the total for that month. Maybe it is some old appliances, not running so efficiently, that is causing the high bills.
