FX 5 set up

I am setting up my FX5 today on my 55 gallon. I am going to use 1 gallon of seachem pond matrix inside of it and no polishing pads.

Is there anything else I should beware of while setting up?

a FX5 on 55 a gallon.. that's awesome lol! i suggest u watch the DVD, its very straight forward.. u made the right choice saying no to those bastard pads.. ur gonna be using the course stock sponges though right? don't fill the baskets up completely u need a small space..

Yes sir, i will be using the stock sponges. I also have an ac110 on it right now, which I will be running with the fx5. Over kill, I know but this is to prep for a bigger tank i'll be getting, hopefully sooner than later.
