Fx4 barely working after power outage?

I tried taking it apart, cleaning and lubricating it, but it does a weak pulsating spin. When I put it together the weak spin is obviously too weak to do any work. Should I buy a new motor?
it’s about 2.5 years old
 
Are you fully waiting for its self priming cycle to finish. It should run for a bit then shut off then start back up about a minute or so later.

Are the correct hoses connected to the right ports, intake hose to intake port.

Is the tube that stays in the cannister checked for blockage

I will try that and see if it works thanks! Is there a way to upload videos here? It’s hard to explain the error haha
 
Thank you I checked everything like you asked it was good, redid what I did yesterday and the filter decided to work today ! So random.

Edit flow is now very weak, dang

These filters have a mini computer in the motor and if it senses errors it's won't run trying to not burn out the motor. Running like that in the open it's sensing over rpm and cutting back power.
So if you are filling the can 85 to 90% before starting
All hoses are clear of obstructions including the pipe in the can and the one on the lid
Hoses plugged into correct valves, and valves are fully open
Waiting for its self priming and air purge cycle to fully complete
And it still not performing as it should it may be a motor issue.
I would first start with a new rotor shaft.

Have you removed the rotor and check for any damage?

Yeah it runs weak like that, then shuts off after like 20 mins

Ok will try that , buying a motor an impeller still cheaper than a whole unit

Update ordered new impeller, and it’s now working. These parts must be very sensitive because I see no visible damage on the old impeller
