FX4 Low Flow Issues

Hi all

Has anyone had any issues with low flow on their FX4? I have surface agitation because of a wavemaker, but during my most recent water change, I noticed barely any water flowing out of the output. No changes have happened, besides moving. But, I have not taken anything in our out of the filter, and it was working fine pre move.

Appreciate any tips or ideas? I am thinking it could be too much media in the filter? Or I have also seen online to take out the bottom tray.

Might be time to clean it or it's possible some media got dislodged during your move. It wouldn't hurt anything to open it up and check that everything is in the correct position.

I would not remove the bottom tray despite what you saw online.

you could try making your own filter media
i dont use a external filter but filter media too tightly packed can restrict flow in all kinds of filters

Success - thanks for the help! Did a good cleaned, and reorganized everything. I think between the move, and perhaps being over filled, it just wasnt able to pump through.
