FX5 and 7" silver aro

Im going to get a new filter today, thinking an fx5, would the high output be ok for the silver??

I just put one on my 320 and I was surprised that the outflow is not that terrible as there are two outflows and you can direct them anywhere you want. I put one down and one to the bottom. Definately have atleast a 150 to 180 if you want to use one of these BAD BOYS.

Probably a little overkill for that size tank, but then you'd have it ready for when your silver out grows the tank and you need a larger one.

Is the silver alone or does it have tank mates?

You should be fine, just direct the majority of the flow away from the surface

i have a fx5 in my 135gallon and my silver arowana dosn't seem to mind it as i have the flow towards the left side of the tank and the center,

Even if the flow is too high you can direct it elsewhere, you can never over filter

Well I got the FX 5... I was debating the eheim wet dry but just have had bad experiences with eheim and didnt want to chance it and I got to say I love my other fx 5 so Im gonna stick with them.
Its up and running and looking good

FX5 is a good choice, like already said, if you upgrade your tank you won't need to upgrade your filter. I use just a FX5 on my 200 gallon and the water is always crystal clear.
