FX5 and rena xp3

hey guys,
I have a rena xp3 and a FX5 i was wondering if it would be a good idea to make the xp3 all mech and the Fx5 all bio does this sound like a good idea? and what should i put in the rena for mechanical? because the foam just clogges up

I would just have the fx5 be foam with bio in all 3 trays. The XP3 i would do the same thing, the bottom tray all foam and the rest bio. I have 2 XP3s and an FX5 set up like this with a little room for carbon at the top and i have no complaints about it.

The xp3 has a rather low flow rate which makes for poor mech filtration. I would set up both filters as they were designed with both bio and mech filtration
