Ok so I decided to go with a new 220 setup since the people selling the used tanks were so flakey. so now I am practically broke... lol

I wont be able to get a new big filter for a little while, so I was thinking of making 2 custom intakes. Then placing one on either side of the tank and then the stock outlet in the middle. Then I will put the AC 110's on either side as well...

Would that work okay or should I just leave it the way it is and put the intake on one end and the output on the other?

I am basing the intakes on this pic of an over flow, but since it is for a canister I dont think I need the U in it.

oh and I will be removing the pre-filter in the top basket and replacing it with bio-max so that would give me 3 trays for bio-max...

the setup you're talking about would look so much cleaner in my opinion, but if you have the time to build it up, im sure it wouldnt be too hard, go for it. i have 2 ac110s on my 125 along with an fx5 with the out on one end and the in on the other. I'd like to do it your way but i'm to lazy and the tank is already running. but good luck.

it just came into my head would it be better to hard plumb both of them together or use a hose?

good question! I've seen it done had plumbed on here before not with a hose. i figure with hoses you can just a y splitter into the fx5 and have two hose for the intakes.

I am going to hard plumb the intakes I was was just thinking of plumbing the 2 intakes together with hose because they would be easier to slope. Also when I do get a second big canister (probly another FX5) it will be easier to modify everything without a saw lol...

no other inputs?
