My FX5 has been blowing micro bubbles since day 1!

My seals are all good. I've tried wetting them with water, pam, etc. Still the same issue. All my connections are on good as well.

I always am sure to fill the filter high as possible before installing the lid.

All 3 baskets are filled with seachem matrix bio media.

I really feel the outter foam pads are causing this issue. They clog soooo easily!

Can I just remove them? Should I try putting filter floss around the outside instead?

is the intake close to a bubble wall? if so it may be pulling some bubbles from the wall.
Wish it was that easy. I've relocated my only airstone directly under the output. 6 feet away from the intake =O

I've even left the airstone off for weeks to see if it helped =[

Do a search on fx5 microbubbles and you will get some insight. One post said remove the foam pads.

i get bubbles when i loose pressure. clean ur filter pads or maybe u have too many filter pads in the filter...

just leave it Bare... the bubbles will go away!!
