hi all iv just made some small barrel shaped parts for the broken part,s on the under side of the clamps on my fx5 .while making a dozen or so i made some exstra .
i made the new parts from he30 alloy and have cnc milled them to a exact mach to the original part .
the new part will last a life time and never split like the plastic orange barrels .

at the moment the number iv made mean that the price would be around £1.70 per barrel but if you guy,s and girls are intrested i can make a large bach and get the price down to around £1.20 per part .
pm m if intrested
thanks .

The OP hasn't been on since July 2013 so doubtful you'll get a response.

When I first looked at this I thought making them with a manual mill and sink EDM would work alright. I think it is clearance for an m5 or m6 hex head bolt

these could be made with 1 small diameter endmill super quickly.

I'm a CNC machinist so I'm looking at these from my machines capability. I could fixture and make about 10 of these at a time in about 5 mins per run.

True enough I know basics of cnc but do not have any at the shop I am at. Did you know that cnc is part of the curriculum now for 2nd and 3rd year.
Just asking but would it not be quicker to plung a .236 (6mm) threw, open up the hex head then reuse your coordinates with different offsets with a 1/8 endmill to take it to size
