I was wondering if the height location for the intake filter matters a lot? My problem is I have a tank full of cichlids, so spitting my fine gravel everywhere, including into the intake, is starting to get a bunch into the filter. Can I hack some of the tubing off, bringing it closer to the top, or does the low profile make a difference. Tank is 2" tall, what can I get away with? Thanks

you can cut them down
how much would you say? I would want to cut as much as I could, just so they stop breaking the cover off too

i cut my intake tube in half and my tank is 2' tall also. p.s. i hope u meant 2' when u wrote 2'' lol!!! also the seal between the hosing and plastic tube needs to be submerged. they state this in the video like 4 times lol! it works either way but they say for it to be most efficient the whole rubber connector needs to be submerged.
