FX5 Filter Question

Same as what was stated. Make sure the fish you are stocking are strong swimmers as there will be a lot of flow in that tank.

Get the Fx5, it's not as much water movement as everyone is saying here, hardly a washing machine whirpool. I have approx a 60 Gal US and I have an Fx5, to be honest even a poor swimming fish would cope in here, it's nothing!

Agreed with everybody's response. They are rated at 0 ft of head? Look at Fluval's webpage and look at pump curve to determine actual GPH based on Ft. of Head.

The only loss on a canister is due to friction loss in the tube and fittings. Vertical head is the differance in height of the suction and discharge of the pump. With a canister set up since the suction and discharge are in the same body of water there is no vertical loss.
