So I'm sitting watching the tank last night (100gal) running an fx5.
It starts cutting out and turning back on every 5-10minutes. Not the normal cut off to let the air out the system, just cutting out. It then finally cuts off and does not come back on at all.
I spent a frantic hour or two up until 2am in the morning trying to get it on, stripping the motor down to the impeller, cleaning it all etc but no success. Then this morning when I again strip it all down about to take it back to the shop a 30mile drive away it finally starts up again.
The only problem now is that it seemed to be running okay for about 15mins but has already started cutting in and out again a few times. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the motor failing? Or is it a blockage somewhere? Thanks Guys.
