Hey Guys, I'm hearing a lot of mixed opinions about the FX5... what do you guys think?

I'm looking for a very strong filter for my 125G tank that won't clog or require re-setting or anything like that... something that's just 'set-and-forget' so my parents won't have to bother with it much.

If not the FX5, what would be it's counterpart in the other brands like eheim or rena??

Thanks!

Michael

I use 2 Fx5's one on my 125 and one on my 150 ... cleaned the one on the 150 yest. and it was the first time in a month and it was still clean .. but i run only bio rings and the pads that come with it ...

but i love my 2 Fx5's great filters ..

Why 2 on the 125 and 1 one the 150?

I run a FX5 on a 75 gallon and it rocks it. LOVE this filter. Will use no other.

Love all my FX5s

If your looking for something to plug in and not worry about, fx5 is the way to go. I absolutely love the one I own, and am planning on switching to them primarily in the future. There's tons of threads on here with opinions on them, and the negatives are like 1%.

Well, mine just died for no apparent reason, so I'm not a fan of them.
