the clamps dont fit onto the glass because the glass is too thick! what do i do???

FML, just snapped one of them as i was trying to fit it onto the trim..

Yeah, those can be tough to fit over some bigger tanks trim. If you have some time, buy 1" PVC and make a spraybar or something and paint it black with Krylon spraypaint.

i trimmed a section of the edging off and got one of them on there... what should i do for the one i broke?

no that tape holding it to the tank will eventually slip off so yeah def get that new clip
