1"I.D. Due to the high flow you'll need the braided/reinforced hose so that it doesn't collapse from the suction.

After doing it the first time I realized that I complicated it by adding the sprinkler fitting and simplified that when I did it again.

This process is super simple and can be done in a short afternoon (few hours at the most, even when building your own spray bar etc.).
Add a little light sanding and some krylon fusion to the mix, let the whole thing dry for a week and you've got a sleek and discreet setup.

To be honest, I have no idea if there was any kind of flow increase because I never used the stock tubing that came with the FX5. I had read too many things about the benefits of hard piping or replacement tubing before I ever even got my first FX5; so I figured is skip right to it.
