The output is in the right corner.

Is it better to put the intake in the middle or on the left side? I'm thinking I can put a powerhead in the front right corner and help the current down to the intake. It's a 6 foot 125. I have a sand bottom.

I'm rebuilding my tank and doing it right this time.

Any thoughts?

Here is a diagram of how I would set it up. This is similar to how I have mine. I point one of the FX5 outlet nozzles up toward the water surface to agitate the water some, and the other down to sweep debris from the bottom of the tank.

Haha yeah I got it. This is good because I had my intake in the middle, and output on the right, so I don't have to buy new and redo the filter hose. Woo! Is a 350 gph good for the powerhead on the left? My setup is backwards from your picture.

Yeah 350gph should work, especially with the high flow from the FX5. The real test will be waiting to see how well the debris is swept toward the intake. Try making small adjustments if necessary to target problem areas.
