FX5 just stopped help

OK so I changed my filter pads in my fx5 today and was doing a water change. I plugged my fx5 back up it started working as normal for about 20 minutes then it just went silent. now i know it stops to get all the air out but this isn't one of those kind of stops. Any idea what the problem could be? I made sure enuff water was in it ande have plugged it back in several times it doent even make the lil hummm sound thanks..oh and i only had it 5 months brand new

you probably messed up the priming. If you didnt close the input then output and partially drain it then it will not work when plugged in. empty it out and redo the priming like you did the first time with the 2 gallons of water. good luck

u got sand in ur tank? could be too much sand in the filter. Stopped for me like this

remove the motor and pull the impeller out, make sure everything is debris free. do this with the cannister empty and not hooked up obviously

u got sand in ur tank? could be too much sand in the filter. Stopped for me like this

exactly what I was thinking

remove the impellor clean it out. happens to some of my filters when they suck up too much sand frmo a water change

Sounds like a screwed up chip. Get a replacement for the motor since it is still under warrenty.
