Freaking out, just cleaned my FX5 and hooked it back but the hose connection is no longer tight and its leaking like crazy. what can i do?
i am referring to the connection to the top of the filter, please advise. No funds to buy a new filter

Check and see if you dislodged, lost or broke one of the o-rings on the inlet/outlet stub on the filter lid.

Also check if you are putting tension on the hose by kinking or stretching it.

Are you sure the QD snapped in place when you reattached to lid stubs?

Play around with it a bit before you throw the baby out with the bath water. Like D deeda mentioned about the clamp properly fitting.

I had a leak on one of mine only when it had pressure or else the valve moved. But ran fine as long as it didn’t get touched.

I bought a replacement part for $10image.jpg

it might be an O- ring because I switched it to the other side and its loose. this is my first FX filter so I will look online to see a diagram where this o-ring fits, I believe it's on the outlet stub on the filter. Any recommendations besides amazon?

Where exactly is the water coming out? Top of the hose connector? Middle rotating valve? Or the bottom? I am assuming it is coming from the part I posted earlier, according to your first post?...

The water is leaking from the connection of the hose to the top of the filter. The fit is no longer tight , there is play in the connection and the water is leaking out

Unplug the power cord, close both valves and remove the valve that you see leaking. Use a flashlight to see if the o-ring is still present, it should be in a groove on the fitting stub. You can always check the other fitting stub to see where the o-ring is meant to seat.

If both o-rings are present and correctly seated in the groove, the problem may be that the disconnect valve is not seated properly and latched onto the fitting stub.
