fx5 loud?

my fx5 filter has suddenley become very loud its rataling can anyone help?

Check the impeller, sounds like it could be damaged or theremigt be sand or debris that could be causing the rattling. I would clean the filter out just to be sure while you inspect the impeller and hopefully it's nothing annoying and u can get it up and running again.

Agree again-when mine did that I opened up the impeller housing and there was a piece of Substrat pro in there.

Happened to me once, I just cleaned out the impeller and it was back to magic time!

My marineland c220 is pretty bad at rattling, check the impellor, and if thats fine and it still rattles, unplug it and then plug it back in really quickly. I have no idea why this works, but my impellor always makes a really nasty grinding noise when i do it, and then it's quite until i unplug it again.
