I found the solution

I cut a piece of rubber from a tire air chamber, Glue on the up portion with silicone (let it dry for 24 h) (or epoxy 5 minutes) and I fill the top portion. (be careful not to glue around the evacuation hole)This is working like a valve. Now when the motor stop, the valve open (the half piece of rubber that is not glued) and lets all the air out in the exhaust tube. When the motor restart, the water cannot go any more, back to the center, creating noise, with water coming back with pressure, from the exhaust. This is where micro bubbles are created, water coming back from the exhaust on pression, hitting the plastic half moon in center, and splash in the air bubble, create with time.) and no more noise from the cover of the filter (water fall, agitation)
(picture is the cover upside down)

This will not solve the the cavitation problem if your filter is clog, Any clog filter, with a powerful motor, will do this.

I don't get the micro bubbles unless I forget to fill the canister up all the way with water after cleaining it. Are these filters known for micro bubbles Very interesting, I like these posts about modifying filters.

I think you are misunderstanding the FX5.

First of all, there is ZERO "air" noise from the Fx5 once its purged. So I don't get what problem you are having.

This is where micro bubbles are created, water coming back from the exhaust on pression, hitting the plastic half moon in center, and splash in the air bubble, create with time.)

When there is pressure in the output tube, that pressure will superceed any air that wants to flow out the purge tube. This means there is no air in the output tube at all and any air that has not purged already is being forced AWAY from the purge tube.

The way you are talking, it seems you think that the air is being allowed to flow through the purge tube into the output tube and splashing around which does not happen at all. It can't.

The only time I have micro bubbles and when the filter clogs. This obveously does not fix that. I have yet to see what you are trying to "fix" because there is no issue that you are describing.

Are these filters known for micro bubbles Very interesting, I like these posts about modifying filters.

They are known when your filter becomes clogged. Other than that, no.

i agree with jgray. ive only seen bubbles come out of my FX5 when its clogged. as soon as i clean it out, the bubbles and gurgling sound goes away...

Sorry but you are wrong.
There is negative pressure in the center (inlet of the pump), and positive pressure in the exhaust (outlet of the pump).
The evacuation air tube connect the outlet to the inlet, making water return to center (not air) via the air evacuation tube (when motor run). I am not here to explain the problem, only the solution for whom know what I am talking about. THE CENTER IS WHERE THE AIR accumulate with time, and this is why the filter evacuate the air every 24 h. Some, like me have co2 and a lots of plants, making a lots of gaz, with this environnement, the air create in the center is building to fast. So you have a big bubble in the center. This bubble, is spray with water coming from the exhaut, on pressure, making micro bubbles.
I repeat THIS IS NOT FOR CLOGGED FILTER
There is other threats about the problems whit micro bubbles, and noise, just read them.

I read your other thread. I don't know, it may have something to do with a planted tank, possibly? My 3 FX5's are on understocked Oscar tanks and I clean them out every 2 wks (every 4th water change). I've never had the problem you describe with the micro bubbles unless I haven't filled the canister up all the way with water after servicing (I have no real plants either). Mine haven't ever clogged so I don't know about that either. I guess my experience doesn't count much :-)

Sorry but you are wrong.

Where was I wrong?

Some, like me have co2 and a lots of plants, making a lots of gaz, with this environnement, the air create in the center is building to fast.

Well I havn't heard of this problem. I don't use Co2 so I don't have experience with that. I didn't think you were using Co2. I have never heard of the problem you were having.
