fx5 not working right

my fx5 is not filtering at full potential im getting little air bubbles out of where the water is filtered back out into the tank which usually you can see the thing shaking when water comes out if anyone can help me out i would appreciate it very much o yeah and i just did a filter change just recently and it did it before that also

1) close valves
2) remove filter
3) drain completely
4) put valves back on
5) open valves and let the siphon fill the filter and expel the air
6) turn back on

was just going to say the same thing,also make sure no airstones are near the intake.

Yeah mine does this when the filter floss I used gets clogged. So yours probably just needs a cleaning. What are you using for media?

i have bio max and carbon...ill try and empty out the filter and let it fill its self
