FX5 owners, got a question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i would assume so but i have no idea how.

It would have to be 1" OD pvc and then all you need is a hose clamp. You might want to look at a piece of 3/4" pcv...I think you'll find that the OD will match the FX5 1" hose.

This will probubly do two things however. It will restrict the flow of the FX5 a bit and increase the water pressure at the outlet.

yah with the rubber part and a hose clamp it would work easily. (Those as said need the tubes OD to match and I don't recall the exact size.) Though I think the clamp wouldn't work as well with the cut side of the tubing which now that I think of it is the only end you can attach too. (IE you get 1 long tube with two rubber ends and then cut the tube to fit your length, the two cut sides go into the tank. But if you get a rubber piece like they have to attach the parts and then use a hose clamp it would work well.)

IE you could match inner diameters if you get the same sort of deal they use. I am not explaining it well if someone doesn't chime in I will get photos tomorrow.

Also just so you know I really wouldn't extend the tubing much or add things in line. The pump works good as is but it really shouldn't be forces to do too much else. (IE if you are just trying to make a spray bar that if fine but even by doing that you will cause a loss in your flow rates.)

IE this is the hosing you get: http://www.strictlypetsupplies.com/_015561302364.html

you only get 1 and are told to cut it and it works well since there are rubber ends on the intake strainer and outake parts for putting on the cut ends of the hose.
