FX5 Pre-Filter

I've ordered this Pre-Filter to run on the intake side before the FX5. The filter takes 10" round filters cartridges. How do you guys think this will affect the flow. Anyone else run something like this.

I ran one of those with my ocean clear set up and it was a total waste. Is your fx5 not working correctly? Depending on your set up, it could either be pointless or a total savior.

No my FX5 seems to be working fine, brand new. Just wanted to load it with bio and have a micron filter that was cheap and easy to change.

the micron filter is gonna clog quickly, if you are going to use one though, put it on the output from the fx5 that way the fx5 catches most of the bigger stuff.
