FX5 Problem! Help ASAP!

Hey all! I just bought a FX5 about 2 days ago...ran great first 2 days, but now doesn't turn on at all! Checked to see if anything was clogged and there was nothing. I thought it would be the shutting off for any air to surface BUT more than 10 mins later....nothing.....

IDK if the FX5 is waterproof BUT I had a little accident of overfilling it, and a little water purged out and got all over the FX5 and the area where the motor is....

I'm very frustrated and can't get this thing to work at all! Any help will be appreciated ASAP! :nilly:
 
That is the problem..I know nothing about this filter and don't know how to take it apart...I just got it to work for like a min, then it turned off again....I tried different outlets, but same results....

Anyone!? Is it waterproof?
 
when you first plug it in, it will run for 2 minutes and then off for two. every so often it will also do it to purge any air. I'm not sure if that's all you're experiencing or if there's something wrong with it.
 
Thanks all! IDK what could have went wrong besides the part containing the motor getting wet.....but I got it to work now so it's all good...but hope it stays that way...
 
they purge. Plug it in to a good outlet and give it an hour or so
