FX5 Replacement Motor

I wish to replace the motor on my Fluval fx5, Was just looking online and the new motor's are labled as fx5/fx6. Just wanted to make sure the replacement motor for an fx6 will fit an fx5? The look slightly different, is this just new design?

From memory the design of the container for the fx5/fx6 is the same, so the motor will fit straight on.
