So i just recieved my new Fluval FX5 and im having trouble setting it up. I have a 125 gallon tank (72 1/2"L x 18 1/2"W x 23 3/8"H) that im putting the fx5 on. For some reason i cant get the rim connectors to fit around the edge of the tank. There are multiple ways to put it on but i cant seem to figure it out. Anyone else have had this issue and found another way to resolve it?
The only way i see in solving this problem is to cut off the plastic piece that holds onto the tank.

Thats what the rim connector looks like and i'm just having trouble putting it on. If anyone knows how to solve this please let me know thanks!

dont cut on that! just tilt it towards the front of tank to get it over the lip, and push it down on the tank. you will want those to be tight to hold those hoses tight to the tank

the edge is like 1" 1/4" and it seems like if i force it down, itll snap the rim connector

thanks i had to force it in with alota pressure but eventually it snapped in :D

I had to do the same thing about a month ago with mine I had to about stand on them. I was pretty scared just kept saying to myself please don't snap please don't snap.
