Hope someone can offer a solution I am going nuts. One of the FX5's on my 135 keeps filling the cannister with air. It was used when I got it with the tank. I've never had this problem with my 3 others. I noticed greatly reduced flow from the filter a few weeks after servicing it. When I shut it off I could hear the cannister filling with water and a lot of air into the tank. I have disassembled the filter several times including the impeller housing and seal, switched the top and hoses with the other FX5 on the tank and still have the same problem. It takes about 20-30 minutes for it fill with air and the flow is almost nothing. Any ideas ?

Try this, allow the canister to fill with water completely, let it do its 2 minute purge if you unplug it. After the purge cycle, close the intake valve. This will isolate the issue so you know if the problem is before or after the valve. When I say after the valve, I mean from the point just above the seals in the valve, down.

You could also swap the valves from the input and output. Basically, the output nozzel would be the intake. This can also isolate if its in the intake assembly including the whole valve or not.
