I thought I'd share this here. I recently bought another FX5 for $75 off of craigslist which upped the number of FX5's I own to 3 now :). On my 135 gallon tank I used to run an FX5 and a mag 350 pro. Since I had another FX5 now I decided to move the Mag 350 pro to run along side my FX5 on my 120 tall, and have two FX5's on the 135. The bio-wheel part on the mag 350 pro unfortunately wouldn't fit on my 120 tall because of the center brace. So I decided to do a quick mod and run it inline with one of the FX5's on my 135.

Here is what I did here

Home Depot didn't have the exact parts I wanted but they had enough to get the job done.

simple and 100% reversible if I decide to not use it. I personally like using bio-wheels, and with the FX5 I feel it is much more effective than it was on the mag 350.

Cool..
Good thinking.
Even if the bio benifits of the wheels might be questionable, they do an outstanding job of getting O2 into the water.

thanks! I know it's not needed, especially running two FX5's. I just like to try and have variety on my tanks when it comes to filtration, and it was a fun and fast DIY project to do.

I wonder how fast does the wheel spin. You should add a ball valve to control the flow rate though.
