How big of a tank would you guys filter with only a fx5

A 125gal, but also depend on the stock.

It truly depends on the stock but I would say 100g-135g.

I have a fluval 305, 405, and a emperor 400. And I'm about to buy this 180g tank off of craigslist just because how cheap it is and everything that comes with it. The tank itself is too small for me but I could use it for something down the road. Anyways the guy said he's got a fx5 which I've never owned but said that was what he was filtering it with

With a light stock on the 180gal, a single FX5 will work.

I have two FX5's on my tank which is 180g and they do an okay job. It's better than a sump imo which I had on before.
Still though if you could add maybe a 405 along with that Fx5 then I am sure it will be fine. It might just be me but I don't like running only one filter on a tank.

Yea I like sumps but this guy is saying it's a DAS tank. Ive never herd of them but he says he does not recommend drilling it out

How often do u guys change ur filter media in ur canisters.
