Hey guys can any Aussies out there tell me where I can pick up a fx5 for a reasonable price??? Found them in the US for around $230ish but nothin over here much under 450-500.
Even willing to take a used 1 at right price if any1 is selling for some reason

they cop an inport tax and we are a small nation so cost is high.

you wont find any new ones in aus at usa price .
what I would say after buying a cheep filter and finding out the hard way just buy the fx5
$500 is a great price for a new one .
I have one worth evey dollar .

Yeah I think that's what I will end up doing. Either that or eheim 2262??

its easier to ask for forgiveness then permission. FX5's are awesome, I've got 2 right now and would buy more in a heart beat if required.

Hey Texas You can get a fx5 for 400 brand new sometimes a little cheaper second hand. I will pm or post the place soon. closed now for chrissy but open early jan.

Depends what Im using it for, if its the main filter I just fill the hell out of it with bio media (generally matrix) and if im using mainly for its mechanical filtration I throw some more sponges in there.

Picked 1 up last night for $300 6 months old..
Got a sump running to so mainly mechanical..
