please don't start on ehiem blah blah, I am putting the clips to hold hoses in my tanks, they will not fit, tried it on all my tank, it just won't fit. On tank rim. Read direction and watched the vid, I have all different types if tanks by diff companies so it has to be something I am doing

They fit very tight. They need a good amount of pressure to clip onto the lip of a glass with plastic lip. What style of tank is it? Glass acrylic. Euro brace?

Glass, I mean the vid showed it snap in without trouble, I pull it back with my might and scared it will snap or I'll pinch the hell out of my finger

With that syle you dont need to pull anything out just push the bracket on like they show in the video. As I said before I know they are super tight but it will be fine.

FINALLY.. maybe it was because i was scared I was gonna brake it, ok it is up and running. ok I have had fx5s before but didnt keep my monster tank long enough to really get the hang of them, my output is blasting water out no problem, but i dont feel much suction from the intake, BUT if the output is has flow I am sure it is sucking, just feel like a noob again
 
Lol I know what you mean about those friggin clips, you really have to push them down hard. I was waiting for one to break. But they hold well.
Also if you wat to see just how much suction is on that tube take the strainer off.

The suction is spread over a very large cage so you don't feel it.
