fx6 media

hi i was wondering whats media should i put in my fx6? i heard pond matrix doesnt work well on fx6 so ima take it out on my next cleaning. should i just put filter pads/floss in all the trays? i dont know which media works well in a high flow canister thanks

I use Fluval Biomax in all 3 trays and in media bags in HOB’s. Honesty in my opinion people tend to overthink filter media as any ceramic ring, lava rock, and pot scrubbers will work.

After reading on another forum about someone's success, I converted my FX6 to all Poret foam--10 ppi outer, 20 and 30 ppi inner. Works well.
