Fx6 motor same as Fx5?

Hi. I’ve been having problems with my fx6. It’s as if there’s air stuck. Clunks now and then. And eventually goes off completely dead. When I take it apart and back together it’s starts. Can stay on for an hour, or even a day. But then stops dead again. I’ve checked o rings and fittings. Changed hoses. Cleaned the impeller. And only thing left is the motor. My friend has an fx5 he said I can have that works.
So….. can I take the motor off the fx5 and use it on the fx6?

I googled your thread title "Fx6 motor same as Fx5" and the below was the 2nd link in the search results:

It appears to be the same motor for both canister models.

Thank you. Strange though as the fx6 is meant to be better on energy than the fx5. How is this if the motor is the same?

Must be other differences in the canister design.
