Hey fish people. I’ve just bought a pack of three fluval water polishing pads. Do I use all three, as in one on top of each shelf, or do I just put one on the top shelf of my filter?

Might b better to spread them out 1 per tray… they clog quick in the top tray only and cut the flow down drastically. I run multiple fx5 and just keep bio (ceramic/bio balls) in all 3 middle trays. The outside stock foam is enough for mech IMO… set up this way it keeps the full flow power of the filters even in between prolonged cleanings.
