Never, ever under any circumstances take your equiptment to an ifixandrepair place for service. Took my itouch in on May 19th to get the screen replaced, dog chomped it. $85 dollars and told an hour. 5 hours later was told defective parts and had to get new ones when home office reopened Monday. Told on the 22nd that they actually fried it on Saturday and would replace and as an act of good customer service give me a partial refund on the repair. Received full refund on the 23rd, though it took a week and a call to complain to get the funds back.
Told on the 29th would be in on 31st. Not there but showed me where they ordered a used one off ebay. Told it was in town on June 1st and out for delivery. Have not heard anything from them except a rude voicemail from the manager and condescending emails saying sorry you are not happy with the service.
Sure that the story is not over.

Because I no longer have an Ipod, not even the dead one.

oh, i guess kinda nice that they gave you your money back and have promised (but not yet delivered) a used (new to you) ipod to replace your broken useless one

Yes, they have been nothing but nice and professional in all their dealings.

so you want us to avoid a company that will replace your item and refund you money if they make a mistake?
I get you being upset, but it sounds like you're getting the best of a bad situation.

How is fighting to get my money back and getting a fairly new unit replaced with an unknown a good situation? Plus having been without for over two weeks.

So excuse number 218. The Post Office refused to deliver it to their store in the mall and after keeping it for several days returned it to the home office. But they are doing everything in their power to fix it. Right. So where is my good situation? The been without it for 2 1/2 weeks part? The list of excuses part? The fight to get a refund part? That they are replacing with a most likely substandard unit but can't get it together part? Anyone who wants to deal with them can but not recommended.

So them destroying the unit, lying about it for four days and then screwing around for two more weeks with a replacement of unknown quality is a good deal? The refund should not even have been an issue, if you take something for repair and it gets destroyed by them, why should you still pay for a repair?
