Okay, so I gave my GF a gachua awhile back ago. It was quite healthy for years until these couple of past months. It is fed a dozen medium size feeders every other week or so, and sometimes shrimp in the rotation. She's been becoming skinnier for that past 4 months or so, and we can't determine why. We do water changes about every other month or so. I'm guessing she might have developed a health issue from the feeders? If that's the issue my other Gachua feeds off the same feeders, and it's in the healthiest state. Perhaps you guys can suggest some solutions? The poor thing looks like a spoon with its big head and small body. I'm thinking about freezing it to put it out of its misery.

first off stop useing feeder fish THEY ARENOT GOOD FOR YOUR FISH! Second go to fish store tellthem symptoms and ask forsomemeds im shore someone on the forum be able to sugest.
Second use prawns whiteing felits beefhart. blood worms nightcrawlers. anything but LIVE FEEDER FISH

There are several medicated foods available, use the anti-parasite type, not the anti-biotic type. Jungle makes a pretty good one, make sure you follow the directions that come with it. Eco RX also makes one, I think both are carried by Petsmart.

Thanks, I think I will have difficulty introducing these types of foods to the Gachua. It rarely eats anything that ISN'T moving. I'll give it a try though.

Although it isnt easy I always use a long forked planting rod to twitch food such as whitebait so the fish think it is moving. They soon get the idea and then take food as it is dropped in the water.
