Just as the title says...
water readings are all were they are supose to be..
I did a water change 4 days ago. And since then my galaxy coral has not come out.

Only thing I did different was when I put in the water, nozzle was putting in the water close to the galaxy and Im thinking it freaked it out. But I figured if that was the reason, it still would have come out by now..

Anyone ever have their galaxy coral stay closed for days and dats at a time?

thanks

water reading are:

Nitrite - 0ppm
Nitrate - 0-5ppm
ammonia - 0ppm
phosphate - 0ppm
KH - 9dkh
calcium - 420

temp 78.8
waterflow always has been the same
lighting is T5 bulbs, 4 months old. 2/ 10,000k and 2/actinic
coral is at the top of the rock were its always been.

Nothing gorwon in it or any brakage on its structure..
clean and nothing near it to mess with it.

Try moving the coral lower in the tank. Sometimes the change in light intesity is the problem esp w/ 10,000k bulbs. My LFS runs less intese bulbs than my tank. I've had frags actually loose all color before I figured out what was goin on. Now I start all corals low in the tank and gradually move them up over a period of a couple weeks,

thanks. i also thought of this. the same day i did the water change and it decided not to come out again I also cleaned the glass top. So Im thinking the lighting might be the issue as well.
thanks for the info.. I know its still alive, some tenticles are out on one side of it, but most are not. So Ill lower it in the tank (I did put a paper towel over the top of the glass yesterday to cut down on the lighting it gets) and see how that works..
