I was wondering if anyone has some experience with these little guys. They look pretty neat.

These little guys were initially classed in the rasbora family (Micro Galaxy Rasbora) but have been moved over to the Danios (Celestial Pearl Danio)...

First found in 2006, it's now classed as endangered in its natural environment in (correct me if I'm wrong)... India?

Down here in Aust, these guys are going for AU$60 a pop directly from breeders... Rediculous prices... I've seen 'em in the states for about US$7 though...

awesome id set up a small planted just for those guys!!

thanks!

ya these guys are pretty cool, i hope to see some, somday

They are actually a danio rather than the microrasobora which they were 'assinged' and known as. Weve had them in at work a couple of times and currently do, they are a very pretty little fish and one that i like myself, they are still a rather new species and are under risk of being overfished in their natural environment.

They are bets suited to small aquaria as they would get lost in larger tanks and i dont think that they would thrive well tbh. The only problem with these is that we dont sell many and we have them at £4.50 ea 4 for £16 which is a good price for them imo. I remember when they first came onto the scene they were much more expenisve

They're very easy to keep. I have them out in a tub pond, and apparently they breed easily in those conditions. I have lots of fry, but I'm not sure if its from the celestial pearl danios or the white cloud minnows I have in the same tub pond.
