Figured I'd make this for people who want to discuss the books as the show has left out a ton of foreshadowy easter egg type stuff that I'd like to converse about

Spoilers for early readers

So, the biggest thing on my mind is Jon Snow, as melisandre is repeatedly seeing him in the flames when asking for Rhollor to show her Azor Ahai, the hero meant to save the world from darkness in her religion. There is also a ton of speculation on who he might be other then simply Ned's Bastard.

There is a good chance he is rhaegar and lyannas love child, I'm of the camp that believes lyanna wasn't kidnapped as Robert claims but ran away with rhaegar for love. She comments that Robert will never keep to one bed, and a stark she wolf doesn't take kindly to such things. She also was named the "queen of love and beauty" by rhaegar at the tournament of harrenhal, while his own wife was present. Rhaegar by all accounts was beautiful, a great musician, and honorable man. Other then his love for lyanna he always did things by the book as it were. So that this man would kidnap a woman he felt for against her will seems a stretch.

Also lyanna was dying when Ned found her in the Tower of Joy. What was she dying from? By all accounts starks are tough people, I don't think traveling would weaken her to death. And the place he found her, the tower of Joy, sounds like a place where an important woman would go to give birth. That would also make sense out of her dying seemingly for no reason, because she was weakened by the birth of Jon Snow. That would also explain neds treatment of him, he treated him like family, and wouldn't even tell Catlyn who his mother was. Lest to put her in danger over housing the only stark/Targaryean in existence, which if the wrong people realized would obviously get them all killed.

A few other random things point to this, like Mormonts raven calling him King.

Figured I'd just start it off with that, hopefully some other readers will take part in this
