hint... they aren't my red tiger motas...

I could swear that the second batch is of dwarf puffers

lil baby Grammodes?

I should have said, those look like dwarf puffer FRY...

Do tell us what they are!

they do look like puffers i'd say there cichlids though and i'd say there
grammodes
some type of parachromis
some type of nandopsis
but i have no idea really

first ones are rio mongo honduran red points F2 from that pair i got a month ago. i had no idea they even spawned because the tank was just filled with java moss... only right before a water change did i notice that there were a bunch of fry in there :)
parents are sold to wildcaught who will hopefully continue to spread them out into the wider hobby. as much as we might want to put them off as convicts, supposedly honduran red points are now a separate species... so let's try and keep them that way now that there's this distinction and not cross breed :)

second ones are nandopsis bartoni (i think F2...). these are supposedly endangered in the wild, so i'm keen to spread them wider in the hobby.
here's what the parents looked like before i scooped out all the babies. i love the tuxedo look of ivory against black. a somewhat slower growing species, but i think once they spawn it's worth it.
