Gar acting up but Im trying to switch to pellets please help.

I'm currently trying to switch my gars from live onto pellets and I'm encountering complications.
When I don't feed them the feeders they get crazy and put there nose of the size of the tank and slide up and down in the bubble wall. My params are good and both gars are 12 inches approximately. The temp is at 78. Only one of the gars has even sampled a pellet and it was half hearted at best..... Anyone have ideas?

what kind of gar is it? i got one of mine to eat pellets it was the largest though. sometimes the larger ones swicth easier. alligator gars are really easy to switch. mine was a florida though and i can't wait to get back into keeping them again. no fish atm .

Its a florida gar which is bigger and the other is a spotted which is around same length but the girth on the FL is much more pronounced.

Dont have to worry,unless its snout get a hump,u just continue starving them,sooner or later they will eat pellets

.... can I see an example of when this hump occurs in a picture please? I'm worried about starving them... Would the same work for my silver aro?
