Gar and tankmates

Any suitable tankmates for Florida gar.
What about an Arowana with a gar????

Should be fine. As long as you account for growth and tank size.

Pbass, large catfish, rays, lower jaw polypterus, large SD, tigerfish, datnoides, and wolf fish. Just to name a few.

But if these are considered then large space is needed. Will grow very quick.

Kept a Florida Gar with lower jaw polypterus, Purple Wolf ,Datnoid, Silver Dollar, and large Geophagus Cichlids with no issues. Unfortunately the gar jumped out and I couldn't save him.
