Gar aquarium sizes

Are there any gar species that would be fine in a tank around 200-300 gallons? I found some info about Florida gars but nothing seems to be solid.

Alright thanks. I'm looking at a tank from glass cages. It's a 300 96x30x24 or 25. The price $1322. Anyone got comments about them?

that tank dimension is really good, the price seem about right for a new tank IMO.

Yeah. My plan would be to house the gar with my flowerhorn and some other cichlids. Would the fh and gar mix if introduced at the same time

can work but most likely not, the FH usually kill the gar.

Even in that size tank? I guess he'll just be upgraded to a 75 and find something else to put with the gar

the thing is because the tank will have a gar with a FH and a bunch of cichlid. If you have some of the bigger(bigger than the FH of course) and friendly fish(like Clown loach)instead of cichlid, the chance of them being ok with a few poke here and there would be higher.
