My gar is 12" spotted regular gar but he's always done weird things. He is active most of the time, however he also rests a lot and just sits there. Now the weird part... He likes to have his tail sucked to my overflow. I noticed him today laying against the overflow blocking like all the water. He's not dead or dying, I think he just likes it holding him in place. Anyone else ever have a fish do this?
