Gar breeding season?

Anyone know when gars breed in florida?

Bout a month ago by normal standards... Might continue until around now and a second phase may happen later in the year around August.

Thanks I went gar-fishing today in a sub-community in saint cloud called blackberry creek, they have beautiful shortnose gar there, and HUGE bowfin and crappie. Almost caught a 1' gar.... but no luck..

There are no Shortnosed around there.. Just Longnosed and Florida...
