GAR + DAT?

Anyone here ever try to put gars and dats in the same tank? If so what were your experiences? I have plenty of 4-8" dats in my tank and 6 1" baby dats so I was just wondering if the gars are aggressive to the point it would eat the babies or fight with the bigger dats.

got my 7" gar with my 3"ngt's in a 100gal. so far so good had them together for while now...just keep them fed.

The 1in babes will likely be food if they get caught. They are tough lil buggers though. The others are ok. I keep dats with gars.

Should be fine except the little dats would be feeders.

you have some waiting ahead of you mate! the gar is a considerably faster grower..

ive kept my 10 inch spotted gar with my 3 inch datnoid with no problems. the gar was actually scared of the datnoid.

i'm guessing i'll have to hold off on the gars because of the baby it's. thanks for the info!

wouldnt recommend small baby datnoid with gars. if you really must do so try getting datnoid bigger then the gar. started off with bigger datnoids with small gars size of a toothpick.
