gar dealer in northwest washington?

ive been dealing with my lfs to order me up some florida/spotted gar (doesnt matter) they keep jerking me around saying they orderd them, but when i call a week later they say they have not even orderd them yet

does anyone know of a place over here that has them or maby a more reliable lfs, that has a quick turn around?

Ya i have some swimming in a river behind my house. They would be spotted gar. Shipping would be a good question.
i caught one a few weeks ago and it was a foot long. it put up a good fight and the hook was not even set. he just kept his mouth shut and the hook never came out untill i opened up his mouth. then it fell out! I think he was injoying the fight. may be we could figure something out. I'm living in Jacksonville Fl, but i'm from Tacoma Wa. y6mustang@yahoo.com

gar are technically illegal in WA, even though occasionally available at lfs's.

EDIT: just looked it up, only the longnose and alligator are illegal acording to F&W website. sorry bout that.

thats crazy i diddnt know that, i figured that they were legal because their at my lfs but they say that they only have them on special occasions. ill just keep waitin...i guess, and yah i dont know how we could ship a live animal ill try and look it up.

let me correct myself once again, ALL gar are illegal in WA. i was reading the site incorrectly.

If you're ever up north check out Pet Pourii in Everett, they have them all the time.. I usually see 4-6 in their tanks every week.
