Perhaps this is the wrong section but I just picked up an 8inch "marbled gar" from a pet store in a local mall. The poor guy was skinny but seemed to have potential to be beautiful. He hasn't ate yet but lives with a handful of bala sharks. A school of assorted African cichlids and two common wolves. The wolves are 5-6 inches and are absurdly lazy so I am not concerned with their aggression towards him. And everyone is very well fed. The only issue I have had in the few hours since he got to his new home is that the balas are nipping him. CRAZY I know. Any advice as to why they would be doing that? And what kind of cover do marbles like? I do a water change every 2-3 days whenever work and school allow such. Finally, what is a good diet for him? I have tons of feeder fish that I am sure the wolves will share and I am also in the process of breeding my own feeders. To save money haha. Thanks for the help in advance!!!
